The Blyth Renewable Festival project came to us via the Port of Blyth Group of Companies. Who we have worked with for a number of years. We also built the Port of Blyth web site, Port Training Service and Transped web sites.

With The Blyth Renewables web site, we were giving a very tight budget and even tighter lead time, but we still managed to produce a full content managed web site along with an interactive ‘Feed Back’ page where visitors, sponsors and suppliers could visit the site and leave comments about the event. The event itself was a big hit in the area and even had one of the Tall Ships The Mur sailing up from Hartlepool.

As compensation for completing the project on time and on a tight budget I was invited to the VIP evening where the plan was to sail out of the harbour and back. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible so the trip was cancelled, but my wife and I were still taken onboard and given a tour of the ship. Really enjoyable experience to see how these guys live and work, but I decided it’s not really for me. That is unless I could travel first class an just sun bathe on deck (weather permitting)
